Burglary Near You - Durham Terrace

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Tuesday 18th November, this occurred in the darker evening at approx. 4:20pm and 8:30pm. The method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

SUSPECTS UNKNOWN GAIN ENTRY TO MID TERRACE PROPERTY, BY PULLING OFF GATE THAT COVERS REAR CELLAR DOOR AND SNAPPING THE BARREL LOCK. UNTIDY SEARCH MADE THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY AND SUSPECT/S BELIEVED TO HAVE LEFT THROUGH KITCHEN REAR DOOR USING THE KEYS LOCATED WITHIN. IT IS NOT KNOWN IF ANY PROPERTY WAS TAKEN FROM THE PROPERTY AT THE TIME THE REPORT WAS TAKEN.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it Tuesday18th November  4:00pm-9:00pm to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
